I have now introduced a new forum, which you can reach by clicking the link below.
The forum offers assistance to those who have a Pet who is sick, by sending absent healing to give both animal and owner that extra strength needed to face whatever needs to be faced, and comfort to those who have lost a Pet and finding it hard to find answers or comfort
Under no circumstances are we saying Absent Healing is a substitute for a visit to a Veterinary Surgeon, what we are saying is Absent Healing can be sent in addition to Veterinary treatment.
If you would like to post, please click the link below. Poetry and verses are also welcome on this board
Please dont be afraid to post here, you can do so without giving your real name.
You can also contact me directly via the 'MAIL' link and I will place a post for you in my new section ' In Loving Memory' please attach a photo of your pet, which doesnt have to be cat, and I will add it for you.

RAINBOW BRIDGE
Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of
our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of
food, water, and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just
as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The
animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each
miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly
stops and looks into the distance. Bright eyes are intent; his eager body
begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the
green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you
and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your
hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those
trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge Together...

When the Time Comes"
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep
Then will you do what must be done
For this – the last battle – cannot be won
You will be sad I understand
But don’t let grief then stay your hand
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test
We have had so many happy years
You wouldn’t want me to suffer so
When the time comes
Please let me go
Take me to where my needs they’ll tend
Only, stay with me until the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see
I know in time you will agree
It’s a kindness that you do for me
Although my tail it last has waved
From pain and suffering I have been saved
Don’t grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do
We’ve been so close – we two – these years
Don’t let your heart hold any tears

The following poem was spotted by Liz, one of hard working volunteers, when its was put into the local Newspaper by the owner of a beloved cat, Pumpkin, who had sadly died. Liz thought it was lovely, and so do I, and I hope Jean & Ron Watt don’t mind us sharing it.
The house seems empty, even sad, as we come in the door
We do not find you waiting there to greet us any more,
They say a house is happy when there is love,
But when a loved one leaves it, sadness has no place to hide.
We miss your warm soft body cuddled into us at night,
Your gentle breathing telling us that everything was right.
We miss your presence every day, just knowing you were there,
Contented in your life with us, you flourished in our care.
You shared our lives for many years, kept safe from harm.
Your little world held comfort, food and treats we would provide,
You never sought the outside world but loved your garden chair,
And in the summer months you'd lie contented, stretched out there.
We wanted nothing more than just to know that you were near
Protecting you and loving you and you had naught to fear.
We miss your warm companionship the closeness that we knew,
For all those years we shared a bond between us, strong and true.
What you brought into our lives can never be replaced,
The thought of ever losing you was something never faced.
Your time with us we treasured, we were honoured by your love,
You graced our home with dignity, with pride in every move.
Around us now there seems to be an empty space,
We want you here beside us but you have left this place.
Your love will always stay with us, and each day we will feel,
Your gentle purring and your love although they won't be real,
So now we must release you, our minds must set you free,
To travel on beyond us to a place we cannot see.
We'll miss your warm companionship the closeness that we knew,
But memories will keep you near, as will our love for you.
So life goes on without you, our lives not quite the same,
Because there’s something missing, we won't see you again.
We look upon your photographs and smile at everyone,
We have them always with us, but, sadly you are gone.
