Cats Protection Shop in Wallsend

Our shop in Wallsend came into being around 10 years ago, since then its almost become a 'Must Visit' place for the people of Wallsend. Every day, more and more visitors enter its doors, looking for bargains, advice on their Cats, or a 'bit chat' with the volunteers who work there. Locally its affectionately known as 'The Cat Shop'.

All the Staff in the shop are volunteers, and if you have a couple of hours a week to spare, Im sure you would be welcomed if you want to join them.

One request I would make is that you direct questions regarding Cat problems to the Advice Line, or this site, as the girls in the shop dont have time to answer all the phone calls that come in regarding Cat Adoption, the availability of kittens, or how to deal with the stray down the street.

So if you are looking for some clothes for your holidays, a book to read or a priceless ornament, the Cats Protection shop is the place to visit.

Likewise if you have any second hand clothing, bric a brac, toys or books, please either drop it off at the shop on High Street East, Wallsend or email us and we will arrange collection.

We are always looking for people to help out in the shop, so if you can give a half day or a full day once a week on a set day, please come along or email me, or fill in a form.
And that doesnt mean you men out there are not needed too !
We need strong men urgently to help out. We need you to carry the donations up to the store room, and if you have a full driving licence to collect donations and bring them back to the shop.
So come on girls, talk your hubby into helping out too !
The shop is our main source of funding, so if you care about the cats of the North East, but cant foster etc, then maybe this is for you !

You dont have to serve behind the counter if you dont want to, you can help with the sorting, the ironing, with filling the rails, come on, a few hours a week, can make such a difference to those needy cats out there........

Click the purple cat link below to fill in an application form and join our merry band of volunteers !

'sleeping on the job? no! Maureen wont put up with that !'
