Newcastle upon Tyne Branch

£5 Neutering as long as funds allow

Our Headquarters recently assisted us with funding to hold a £5 neutering campain within the area. That campaign is now over.

However, we would like, as a Branch to continue it a bit longer, as so many people are facing financial hardships at the moment.

So if you live in the Newcastle upon Tyne area, and can use any of the following Vets, and are suffering financial hardship of any kind, then you will qualify for help.

  1. MetroVets - Longbenton  - 0191 - 2709369
  2. Strachan, Tyson & Hamilton - Heaton - 0191 2653998
  3. Moor View Vets - Shiremoor - 0191 2566990
  4. Westway - West Road - 0191 2747910
There is no need to contact us, simply ring a Veterinary Practice from the above list and say you would like to book your cat/kitten in for neutering under the £5 CP Neutering Scheme

Why Should I Neuter the Cat?

Simple... it helps insure a good healthy life !

  1. Kittens neutered before hormonal changes, (5-6 months) are safeguarded against Feline versions of Leukemia and Aids. These diseases spread by sharing of bodily fluids.
  2. They are protected against the various cancers that kill so many cats.
  3. It helps prevent adult male cats fight and roam.
  4. And it stops the multitudes of unwanted kittens born every year.

A Poem to Consider

Little Black Cat

I once was thought lucky, but now thats 'old hat'

I'm not in the fashion, I'm a little black cat

The visitors come and they pass with a smile

I'm young and I'm friendly, but I've been here a while.

"We wanted a tabby" I've heard them request

I know I'm not tabby but I'm doing my best !

I've tried rolling over and waving my paw,

But they just take a glance and pass by my door.

"Maybe a ginger? That one looks nice",

But a little black cat? Well no one looks twice

If you come to the Centre, just watch and see -

They'll choose all the others, but no one picks me.
