Cats Protection

Newcastle upon Tyne Branch

The In Loving Memory Page was created back in December 2005 when I lost two of my own cats over the Christmas Period and I wanted somehow to pour out the grief I was feeling.

This is now the third year of In Loving Memory, proving that placing your beloved companions details on these pages has helped a lot of people come to terms with their grief.

The loss of animal whether that animal was a companion for a short while or many years causes a pain in our hearts that many who have never known the love between person and pet will never understand, that pain is acute, the sense of loss can be overpowering, here you can share those feelings with those who understand.

I pray it helps you as it did me...

We loved you Whisky. MUM & DAD LESA &  GEORGE 2008.

They seek me here they seek there they never look beneath a chair , He loved to hide around the house we had a rack with dozens of teddy bears on he would get amongst them and lie doggo he made our lives complete, now he has gone he has left a gap which we will try to fill it will be hard but we must try he has no pain now at last he rests in the kingdom of cats.

Words Written From The Heart For Ebbie who passed peacefully on 19th February 2008

Ebbie's Time Had Come

Her course has run, and we should pause before we journey on,
to reflect that God will judge us for the love we give,
the love we take, for his sake; not the vanity of our ambitions,
not the wealth we accumulate; but the sort of give and take,
between an Elderly/Young English man, and Ebbie,
his plucky, ginger & black, little female cat.

John

'I should like to add that Ebbie was John's companion for 20 years, and during that time, they shared good times and bad, and now John is braving this loss with dignity in the faith that one day man and cat will meet again.'

Cornflake - Much Loved Friend to Ruth & Family

17 years ago on 21 June we took possession of a beautiful little kitten who was in the care of the Cat Protection team and was being looked after by a couple in Wallsend.  He had been saved from drowning and as the only one of the litter saved.  At the time he was just 6 weeks old and known as Henry.  After trying a few new names out we eventually named him Cornflake.  Three years ago he had to have an eye removed following a tumour and we thought that may be too much for him, but no he continued as ever and looked even cuter. Sadly last week 28 March we lost him following a lung infection.

You had a good long life and I hope we made that special for you.

You will always be loved and remembered by us.Yours Always Louise and John"
