What exactly is a Home Visit?
Home Visits are not done to check whether or not you have fitted carpets etc. They are done in order our fosterers can discuss Cat Protection and what help we can be to you as an owner of one of our cats. Also, we need to meet the entire family to ensure that everyone is in agreement that a new cat or kitten is a good idea and that your choice of cat is right for both you and the cat chosen. We can also meet any other pets in the household so we can be certain the kitten or cat of your choice will be fine with the other pets.
They will point out anything they feel could be a problem, for example, do you know whether the plant on the window sill is poisonous to Cats? Open Chimneys are something that frequently result in the Fire Brigade being called to rescue a kitten stuck. So, dont be worried about this visit, its beneficial for you and for the fosterer, who wants you to know, she is always there to help.
