CATS PROTECTION

Newcastle upon Tyne Branch

Lizzie is a Stunning Young Black & White Queen.REHOMED DEC 9th
Lizzie came into our care heavily pregnant and gave birth the day the QE2 visited Newcastle, so she we called her Lizzie, as she had two kittens. This lovely young cat was a wonderful mum, but now her kittens are in new homes, and Lizzie has been neutered, vaccinated and chipped and is ready to find a new home of her own.
Lizzie is a very friendly cat, but we feel she would be best in a home without very young children, but would be fine with older ones. She isnt used to dogs, nor do we feel she would happy in a home where there was another cat at this time.
No more applications for Lizzie please

The Three Terrors !! - These kittens have now found a new home

These three kittens were dumped in the grounds of PC World in Wallsend. Even though they hadnt been outside that long, only a week, we feel that they had not been well treated in the time prior to that, as they are terrified of people.
They are not feral in the sense that they have lived or been born outside, but they could present a hard task for anyone willing to give them a home.

They would need to stay together, as they have learned to rely on one another, and , in time, with lots of patience and understanding they will tame to their new owner.

To help the situation we have neutered them, and will have them wormed and vaccinated and chipped.
No More applications for the three terrors please

Duchess has now found a new home

This delightful young queen, who is only 18 months old, and yet has had three litters of kittens,is now free from her Motherly duties, neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated. We would love her to go to a home where she can be the centre of attention for once in her short life. Duchess, pictured here, is a semi long haired, tortie and white queen, gentle in nature, with a lot of kitten days to catch up on.
Duchess is no longer available

Duke & Countess - These two kittens have now found a home - Nov 24th

This adorable pair of kittens are seeking a home together. They were the only two in the litter and are now 15 weeks old, so we simply wouldn't separate them.  As there were just two in the litter, they haven't had the opportunities most kittens get to play with littermates, so they will need some patience and understanding as they can appear a little shy to start with.
We would recommend that these kittens DO NOT go to a home with young children.

Meet Rocky ! A handsome Young Man ..Rocky has found a home - 15th Nov

Rocky is only 14 months old, and was very devoted to his owner, who couldnt keep him due to her allergies to the cat. Rocky has been neutered since he came into our care, and is desperate to find a new owner to love.
He is a very handsome all black young man, fully vaccinated and chipped. He would love a home where he can have access to a garden, and would be fine with older children, although he isnt used to sharing his home with other animals so we cannot say how he would react to another cat or dog.
If you want to find out more about Rocky, click the button below to submit an adoption enquiry form.
UPDATE 6th October:- I have been to visit Rocky today to take more photos, it appears he is very frightened of any object held in the hand, so I feel he has been abused possibly by children.

Meet Asda... This cat has now found a new home

This lovely little female was found living in works being carried out at a local supermarket in Gosforth by a concerned local resident. She is a very sweet cat, and at present we are still trying to find her owner.

Tabby & White Male Cat - Walter has now found a Home  -October 07

Walter, as he has been named, was found in the Byker area, narrowly escaping a run in with a Pit Bull Terrier who was set to catch Walter.  This lovely lad, who is aged around 2 years is very friendly towards People, but isnt fond of other cats or dogs, so a home without other animals would bring out the best in Walter.

Anja & Ceefa - Mother & Son - rehomed 13th Oct

These two stunning cats were dumped on our shop counter !  Why someone would do that I have no idea, after all you wouldn't dump your Granny in the 'Help The Aged' shop or your kids at 'Barnardo's'.  These cats, aged 8, were riddled with fleas, and had severe dental problems, however, all that is now sorted out, plus they have had their full vaccinations and are chipped. Mum, Anja is a stunning Ginger & White girl with the most vivid green eyes, and son, Ceefa, is a pale apricot, or blonde colour, and although both were terrified when they arrived, they are now coming around really well. I
No More Applications For These Cats

Barney & Bunny...our second pair - These Kittens are now Booked !

The kitten pictured on the left here is Barney, a semi long haired tabby boy, totally stunning, but still a tiny bit shy, on the right, we have Bunny, a Black & White Queen, who isnt at all shy, in fact she is the total opposite. Bunny and Barney are great companions, and simply shouldnt be separated from one another. Like our first pair, these two are chipped and vaccinated, and ready now to go to loving new homes. We would suggest quiet homes without small children for both pairs.

Two Stunning Babies called Phoebe &  Sweep - these kittens have now been rehomed

These two adorable 12 week old kittens came into our care along with their two litter mates, when they were found living under some garden decking in a garden. The kittens were terrified when they came into our care, but, considering their poor start in life, they are now doing remarkably well. So that their confidence can grow further day by day, we would like the kittens to go in pairs. These two have bonded, and as such we would like them to stay together. Phoebe, is the tabby girl, who will captivate you with her stunning eyes, and Sweep is the Black & White male, who is the less confident of the two. If you can offer these two a safe secure home together, I am sure you will be repaid with lots of love and cuddles. They are both chipped and their vaccinations are under way.No More Applications for Phoebe & Sweep please

Meet Topsy - This lovely Mum has now found a Home
Topsy is a young Mum who won't be available for rehoming until her babies are ready to leave her and go to new homes. She is only around 9 months old, and was found outside in the pouring rain, looking very bedraggled. Topsy will be neutered and fully vaccinated and chipped when she is ready to go. But if you are interested and would like to meet this girl and are prepared to wait for her, then please feel free to complete an Enquiry form.
Topsy shows signs that she doesnt like other cats at all, so a household where she is the only cat would be ideal.
Sept. 7th UPDATE: Topsy's kittens are now 5 weeks old, Topsy will be ready to leave her babies in around 3 weeks, and she will be neutered soon after that time.
This cat is really special, so if you are looking or a really loving cat, who is desperate to play and give you all the affection possible, then Topsy is worth waiting for.
No More Enquiries for Topsy Please

Gus A  Stunning All White Male - Hurrah Gus has found a Home - 11th Aug 07

This lovely natured boy was found as a stray, so we cannot give you an exact age on him, although we believe he is between 2 or 3 years of age. He has a lovely temperament, and is quite playful. His is neutered and vaccinated as well as microchipped. We feel this lovely all white boy would love a family of his own, where he can be the only cat, and truly pampered.  No More applications for Gus please

Gypsy Has Now found a New Home ! - 2nd September

Gypsy and her babies came into care when an observant passer by spotted them in a roadside bush. Gypsy was dirty and in very poor condition, but with lots of tender loving care from our Val, Gypsy is now adjusting well to her cat pen and her nice warm bed. Her kittens have all found homes,
Gypsy was a fabulous mum, but we do feel she was sadly abused, as although she adores and yearns for someone to scratch her
head, ears and chin, she is afraid when the hand reaches towards her back or tail. Given time this sweet young cat will learn to totally trust, and the rewards will be great.

Grayson rehomed August 07!

Grayson is a young male aged around 6 months. Cats Protection have neutered, vaccinated and microchipped him,  This little man hasnt had a good time of things, but after lots of TLC from Val, he has turned into the most affectionate cat I have ever come across. Although he hasnt known stability of affection, he certainly has learnt how to demand it, bless him.  I recently visited Grayson, and couldnt believe the change in him. No longer is he shy or retiring, he is talkative, and is desperate for you to come and tickle his ears and play with him. He is looking for a quiet home, where he can be the centre of attention. NO MORE APPLICATIONS FOR GRAYSON PLEASE

Bluebell homed August 07
This sweet little tabby queen, aged around 2 years, came to us in a very sorry state after having living rough finding shelter and food where she could.A lovely lady gave her shelter and she came into our care when we had a space to take her. She has now been neutered, her vaccinations have been started, and she is chipped. she is quiet by nature, but on a recent visit to photograph the cats in our care, she came straight to me, and I found her very hard to resist, maybe you will too ! NO MORE APPLICATIONS FOR BLUEBELL PLEASE

Penny, A Shy Tabby Queen - Going to a new home 21st July
Penny is a lovely little tabby female, whose owner didnt wish to keep any longer, reasons given were the sudden onset of an allergy in the children.  We feel Penny would be best in a household without small children, with a family who would be patient and understanding with her shyness, which we feel would be easily rectified with love and compassion. Penny has now been neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped, and is getting braver and braver each day.
No More applications please for Penny

This is Lucy - isnt she gorgeous ! Lucy has now found a home 14th July 07

This stunning female, isnt long haired, and not quite semi long haired, but, she is beautiful.  She was found after being abandoned in the Byker area, when her owners moved house and left her behind. She is naturally a little traumatised by this, and needs lots of cuddles and reassurance, so it would be lovely if she could find a home, where she would be the centre of attention. Lucy is now neutered and has had her first vaccination and microchip, and will be ready to go to a new home around the 10th June.
No More Applications for Lucy please

Dharla - A stunning Tortie & White Female -  Rehomed  10th July
Dharla is a stunning, friendly cat who is still only 9 or 10 months old. She came into our care when she was found straying and living off Field Mice, and she quickly appealed to a young couple whose older cat was missing its companion, who had sadly died weeks before. However, after three months, the original cat still hasnt accepted Dharla, so we feel the best thing to do is to find her a new home, perhaps with children and/or another young cat who she can play with, as that is what she is missing now. This cat has no aggression in her, except when she takes a run at the cat flap....which she does with great gusto.  Her family are devastated to lose her, but feel that she would be so happy to have children to play with, and/or a feline companion who actually likes her.

No More Applications for Dharla please

Lady - A gorgeous Black Semi Long Haired Female. - Lady has now found a home
Lady is a real darling, she was abandoned, and left to stray whilst heavily pregnant with her first litter of kittens. Sad to think she is only around 8 months old.  A family took her in, rehomed the kittens, but do not want to keep Lady, so she is now in our care and will be looking for a new home once she is neutered, chipped and her vaccinations started.
She has a lovely friendly nature, and would make a wonderful companion cat.

One fluffy Black & White female kitten..rehomed 5th July

We have one kitten looking for a home. She is absolutely adorable and needs to be homed where there is another cat or kitten for her to play with. She was booked, but her new owners cannot now take her due to family problems, so here is a chance for someone to adopt a Cats Protection Kitten.
She has had her first vaccination, will need to have her second in two weeks time, which we will arrange for you, and she will also receive her microchip free of charge when you take her to be neutered at 5 months.

Meet Sox and Sooty ! - Rehomed

This gorgeous pair came into our care when their owner could no longer keep them due to housing needs. They are very young cats, who would need to stay together. Both are girls, and both have now been vaccinated and chipped, as well as neutered. These cats do not like other cats nor do they like dogs as they were keep as indoor cats and as such never came across other cats and dogs.

Introducing a stunning  young tortie queen called KC - KC has now found a home

This gorgeous female came into our care along with her babies, who have now found a home. She was living in a pram in a rat infested plot of land, and did a wonderful job, for such a young mother, in keeping her babies alive. KC is very pretty, very young, and is learning that not all humans are cruel. KC is now neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and seeking a new home without small children where she can be loved and spend many happy hours learning to be a kitten again.

Tatty - An experienced Special Home is needed !- Tatty has now found a home..

This female cat was found close to death, lying in a garden, where she had lain without moving at all for 5 days before being reported to us. Val, our devoted Homing Officer, went straight down and took Tatty to a Vet immediately, and even thought she was dead on arrival there, as there were no signs of life at all.  But Tatty hung on, and has now been with us for several weeks and is slowly improving. Tatty earned her name due to the terrible condition of her Tortie fur, which was matted all over her very thin body.  We dont know her age, as her condition is still too poor to tell. We do know she is blind, but, that doesnt seem to be a problem to her at all.
We wont let her go to a new home till we are sure we know all there is to know about her medical condition, but if anyone feels they can offer, when the time is right, a good home to Tatty, we would like you to get to know her, and help her through this healing process.
If the right home comes along, we are prepared to rehome Tatty under our Golden Oldies Scheme, which means we would pay for any Veterinary Treatment she would need, providing the owner can use, First Vets, Tyne Vets or Westways.
No More Applications for Tatty please

Meet Zorro a cat with character rehomed 2nd June

We have named this boy Zorro, as he is a stunning tabby male, who is quite full of his own importance.  He isnt fond of other cats, so a home where he is the only pet would be ideal. He is young, approx 2 - 3 years, and we do not know how he would react with kittens.
We feel an experienced cat owner would be best for Zorro, so if he appeals to you, please fill in an Adoption Enquiry Form, by clicking the link below. No more applications for Zorro please

Lex & Beau - Experienced Home Needed URGENTLY !!! ( This is now very urgent - please ask everyone you know if they can help)
Stable or Farm where they can have a nice soft warm bed would be ideal for these boys.

Two lovely, sweet natured boys, who need a home together, where they can have a safe garden to play in, a cosy knee to lie on and a basket to cuddle up together in.
Lex the Grey & white Russian Cross, came to me when he had been hit by a car, and his owner couldnt be found. At the time he was frightened, and not the friendly boy he is now. Then Beau, a glossy, handsome all black kitten arrived. Beau was indeed a feral kitten, who was too old to tame quickly. Soon Beau became Lex's constant companion, following him everywhere, and learning from him. Then one day, Beau was hit by a car, his Pelvis, like Lex's was shattered and his tail had to be removed. But it was almost as though they grew closer together through their shared suffering.  Beau, became as loving as Lex, and neither cat suffered any long term affects due to their accidents. But I must warn you, Beau, as any true feral cat, doesnt like being handled, and by that I mean picked up. But he will come to you for love and affection.
Now, I am having to move house, and like many people am unable to take all my cats with me. Lex and Beau, would I feel be happier with a home of their own, where they can have an owner who has more time than I do now to share with them.
Both boys will be chipped and vaccinated prior to leaving our care. These boys, are certainly not old cats, but they do have a lot to offer. Lex very kindly got rid of the rats, who were the main occupants when I moved into my present home, so as well as being a talkative lad, he can work for a living.
If you would be interested in this lovely pair of boys and would like to meet them, please complete an application form, and we will organise a Home Visit and arrange for you to meet them.

In the unlikely event that Beau would need to see a Vet, Cats Protection will lend any new owner a trap in which to catch him without causing him undue stress.

These cats didnt find a home, so we are struggling on with them in my new home.

Introducing Kitty & Ginny - Rehomed 30th April
These two pretty girls came to us because their owner could no longer keep them due to relocation. They have lived with two other cats, but this pair are very close and as you can see, sleep together.
They are young cats, and very healthy, although we do not know whether or not they are used to dogs, or small children. We would suggest a home without small children would be best for this pair.
If these cats appeal to you, please fill in an Adoption Enquiry Form by clicking the link below
.

PLEASE NOTE WE ONLY REHOME TO THE NEWCASTLE/NORTH TYNESIDE AREA

Jess & Claudia - A stunning young pair - Rehomed Easter Weekend.

These two beautiful young queens came into our care when their owner was very reluctantly forced to rehome them. Jess is Black and White, while Claudia, the shyer of the two, is Grey and White.  These cats have now been neutered, vaccinated and chipped, and will soon be looking for a new home. These cats have been kept predominately as house cats, so if you wish them to use a garden, the garden would need to be very secure and they would need to be accompanied at first, as these two are most certainly not 'street wise.'

We only rehome in the Newcastle & North Tyneside area

Suki & Chloe - Rehomed 31st March

We seem to have had a lot of pairs of cats in our care recently, and Suki and Chloe are yet another pair, which we will not separate. These are two head turning female cats, recently neutered by ourselves. They have been chipped and vaccinated, and will be ready to go to a new home very soon.  Again these have been indoor cats, Suki, is the pretty tortie, and Chloe is the Black & white. These cats are young, and have been well cared for.

Harvey a Troublesome Kitten rehomed 28th March

Harvey came into our care when his owner found his form of play with her very young granddaughter, far too rough. This is often seen in kittens who have been taken from their Mother and litter mates too early.
it appears no-one is interested in offering this little lad a home. Does no one realise that this is how a kitten behaves?
I have received hundreds of calls from people wanting kittens, yet no-one wants Harvey, does everyone think kittens are only kittens for a few weeks? Well, Im afraid that isnt the case, kittens retain that kitten behaviour for up to 2 years. And as well as being sweet, they are in general very naughty.
Kittens and young children, tend not to mix. Play for a kitten involves claws, as through play they learn how to hunt and all the skills that a cat would need to survive in the wild.

This lovely boy has now found a new home.

Two cats found in a sealed box - Rehomed 22nd March!

Here are Sky and Nightshade, the two youngsters who were left on the side of the road in Washington. These two young queens, are still totally terrified, which may in part be due to their ordeal, or it could be that as very young kittens they were not handled very much, or were not treated very well.  These two girls are only around 8 months old, very beautiful, and in desperate need of a nice quiet home with understanding patient owners, who can teach them that not all humans are beyond contempt.
If these two gorgeous girls are of interest to you, these girls are now neutered and fully vaccinated and chipped. So if you can offer these terrified little darlings a home, and live in the Newcastle/North Tyneside area,

No More Applications for these two cats please

Maurice rehomed 20th March
Maurice first became known to us back in 1999, when two of our Volunteers were enjoying a bag of chips down on the Fish Quay at North Shields.  On opening the car door, this starving little cat, with a terrible head wound, jumped into the car, obviously very hungry. He then stayed with Cats Protection, till his wound, was totally healed, then went to live with his new owner in Whitley Bay. Sadly, his owner passed away just over a week ago, so Maurice now aged around 8 or 9 is looking for another new home. This all black male is friendly and has lots of love still to give.

A Home Visit is being done for Maurice, so no more applications at this time please.

Alfie was homed on the 16th March

Alfie isnt proving an easy cat to evaluate. He is stunning boy aged around a year, but Alfie is keeping a secret that only shows in his eyes. We arent pretending to know what that secret is, perhaps living in a household with a very young child traumatised him, we dont know, but we feel, that Alfie could have a lot of love to give, but would be best in a home without children, just in case....

If you feel that you could offer Alfie, the quiet loving patient home he needs, then Alfie we are sure will give you much love in return.

Alfie may now have found a home, please, no more applications at this time

Topsy and Turvey rehomed 24th February!

This stunning pair of 3 year olds were rehomed by Cats Protection almost 3 years ago when they were kittens. Now their owner is having to work many long hours, and as these two are housecats, feel they need lots more human companionship. These cats have been very well cared for, but need an indoor home. I
No More Applications for these cats please

Billy & Harry - 2 Young Tabby Brothers have found a new home

This is Harry and Billy, two stunning young tabby male cats. These two lovely boys, although they look wide eyed in this photo, were nervous at first, but once they get to know you, they are very friendly indeed. They havent been used to children, so could be nervous around younger children. These cats are no older than 2 or 3 years old, and have never been keen to go outdoors, so a home with a secure garden may be ideal for them.

These two cats are no longer available

Tom was rehomed on the 3rd March

This stunning semi long haired queen is looking for a new home as her elderly owner is no longer able to care for her. Tom loves people although she isnt keen on other cats or dogs, as she has always lived her life with just the company of her owner.   Tom loves being groomed, and will sit on your knee and purr and purr. She prefers to be indoors with her owner, so an indoor home is what we feel would be best for her.

PLEASE NOTE WE ONLY REHOME TO THE NEWCASTLE/NORTH TYNESIDE AREA

Topaz Rehomed today -23rd February!

This beautiful female, who is our opinion is part Oriental, is aged around 3 years, and typical of any Oriental, is very vocal.  Like Maurice, she came into our care when her owner sadly passed away a little while ago, so Topaz, who has been neutered by us, is now looking for a new home. She has spent her life as an indoor cat, so would be best suited to an indoor home, or one with a very secure garden. She isnt used to small children, so may be suited to a home with a single person or a family with older children.

No more applications please for Topaz

We thought you would like to know that not only did we get a lovely donation from the couple adopting Topaz, but their young son added  a donation of of his own, when he gave us his pocket money.

FROM THE BEDLINGTON & DISTRICT CP BRANCH

Good News ! Phoenix will be going to a new home on the 24th February !

PHOENIX - A CAT WHO TRULY HAS RISEN FROM THE ASHES rehomed 24th February

We have been asked by the Bedlington branch of Cats Protection to help to find a new home for Phoenix, who truly is a remarkable cat. I will let Karen from the Bedlington Branch tell you in her own words his remarkable story.

"We picked him up the day before August bank hol when he was just skin slung over bones!  He had so many fleas he was anaemic and his white bits were stained pink with the flea dirt.  The next day he was at deaths door so we took him to the vets to be put to sleep but when we got there he roused himself stood up and yawned while having a look around so we decided to give him a chance and left him there.
They put him on a drip overnight then a couple of days later when he'd perked up a bit they decided to operate on his poor mouth (he had virtually no teeth and what he did have were rotten). They had to do it in 2 ops a few weeks apart because he had so little calcium in his bones they  said it would have broken his jaw if they tried to do it all at once, he got neutered at the same time and tested for FiV, FeLv, renal and liver function, all of which came back clear!!! much to our surprise!  We reckon he must be about 15 but obviously dont know for sure, he also squints cos he's been kept somewhere dark so is photosensitive which makes him look a bit grumpy but he's not."

No More Applications for Phoenix please

Rascal and Minnie - Rehomed 12th February
These two fabulous older kittens, now neutered, chipped and having had their first vaccination, are now searching for a lovely new home together.  Minnie is slightly nervous, but once in a new home, she will blossom. Rascal is a total purry furry boy.  As these cats are not used to young children, we feel a home either with older children or no children would be best for them.
These two beauties will be available for rehoming from 9th February  We will not rehome them to the Westerhope area.

No more applications for these kittens please

Fudge - A young Dark Tortie Queen- rehomed 12th February

No more applications for this kitten

Chevy Rehomed -5th Feb

Our Vets have named him Chevy, why? well he was found lying badly injured on the side of the road, having been hit by a car, and would almost certainly have died right there, if it wasnt for two very caring passers by,  who carried him from Killingworth to Forest Hall where our Vet, Judith was waiting to give him emergency care. Judith  found him to be a very sick cat indeed, so she rang me and I went to meet this special boy, named after one of America's biggest selling cars.  I found him to be gentle and glad  to meet me, despite his serious injuries, so we decided to try and find his owner, as the law dictates that nothing bar first aid can be administered to an animal until an owner can be found, and to do that a time scale of 14 days is given.
We did try and after a week a family came forward and told us they had been feeding Chevy for some time as a stray cat, but they couldnt financially afford the costly treatment Chevy would require, so he was signed over to us, and treatment was authorised.  Judith then performed one of her many miracles on this young cat, and now after several months of devoted care from our Vets and their nursing staff, Chevy is ready for a new 'indoor' home.
Chevy would not be suitable in a home with children, as his serious injuries to his leg have slowed him up making it hard for him to get out of the way should he need to, so a mature home would be best for this affectionate deserving cat.

No More applications for Chevy please

Dusky rehomed 29th January

This stunning Grey queen was living in a garden in the Walker area of Newcastle, Despite many efforts to locate her owner, unsuccessfully, we took her in care and found her a lovely new home where she is the center of attention.

Rascal and Minnie rehomed on the 29th Jan !
These two beauties will be available for rehoming from 24th January.  We will not rehome them to the Westerhope area.
No  more applications for these cats please

Ollie rehomed 27th January

A young ginger tom cat aged around 10 months, who never made it as far as getting his photo on the website, as he was chosen site unseen from the 'Cats Due In' section on the Adoption page. and is now happily living with his new family.

Meet Chandler ! - Chandler being rehomed 24th January

Chandler is a stunning young tom who has just arrived in our care, so will not be available prior to the 22nd January. More information will be placed onsite regarding Chandler once he has seen a Vet and we get to know him a little better.

Sorry this cat is no longer available

Introducing Bob ! - Bob is going to a new home 22nd Jan

This stunning tabby and white boy will be available for adoption from 22nd January. He is a docile, loving boy, who is easy going and would make a wonderful companion for someone. Bob has had it tuff, having to live outside for quite some time, but despite all that he has retained a happy disposition. Bob was found in the Hadrian Park area, so we cannot rehome him back into that area.
Sorry No longer Available

Meet Jack !  - Jack has now been rehomed - 20th Jan 07

Sadly Jack's young owner died, and Jack now needs to find a new home where he can have access to a safe garden as he does like to be outdoors. He is a very affectionate cat, fully vaccinated, chipped and neutered. We dont know how Jack would react to another cat as he was the only cat in the household, but we do feel that if Jack was homed as the only cat he would at some point accept a queen kitten.

Ziggy was rehomed on the 9th January

We are currently seeking a new home for Ziggy an 11 month old Exotic Persian Male cat.
Ziggy came into our care when the family he was with found they couldnt cope with the white hairs he cast. So a new family would need to be prepared to groom him daily, and keep him as an indoor cat. We would like Ziggy to go to a home where he is the only cat, without dogs if possible, as he is easily bullied.
His temperament is sweet, and he will make a devoted pet with the right caring owner.

Ziggy is neutered and fully vaccinated.

No More Applications for Ziggy please

Rehomed 8th January

These two stunning cats came into our care, a few weeks ago, when their owner could no longer keep them. Tahlia is a beautiful tortie queen aged no more than 2 years, she is neutered, chipped and vaccinated, and although appeared shy to me when I first met her, on  my second visit ran up to me to say Hi, nice to see you again.  Her son Jinxy is most unusually marked, as he is Ginger and White, but with black splodges on his back, making him officially a Tortie, which is extremely rare indeed, as normally only females are this colouring. Jinxy, now 6 months old, is now neutered, and like his mum, is fully vaccinated and chipped.

No More applications accepted for these two cats.

Tegan has now found a new home - 9th January 07

Tegan came to us when she was found locked in an empty house, abandoned by her owner along with her 4 kittens, she was starving as no food had been left for her. Luckily for Tegan, someone spotted her at a window, and the police broke into the property. She was absolutely skin and bone, all her body weight had gone into keeping her kittens alive, but sadly it was too late for one of them.  A Veterinary nurse from the PDSA kindly agreed to take them and give them the urgent TLC they needed, and Tegan's kittens went on to find lovely homes, none the worse for their ordeal.

Tegan was placed on high protein foods to build her up, and slowly she started to put on a little body weight. We then rehomed Tegan along with another cat we had in care, but sadly it didnt work out, as Tegan decided she didnt want to share her new home with another cat, so reluctantly her new owner brought her back into our care. So we are now seeking a new home for her, where she can be the only cat in the household. She is just a young cat, around a year to 18 months, affectionate, and playful, despite the ordeal she has been through. She is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

No More Applications can be accepted on Tegan.

Granty is going to his new home 3rd January

Granty is a big soft boy who loves nothing better than a cuddle. His previous owners moved house and just left him behind, which nowadays is a sign of the times. So many people are being forced into rented accommodation these days and as so many of these homes dont allow pets, many people resort to abandoning their pets.
Granty is 3 years old, neutered, and will be fully vaccinated and chipped.

A Poem to Consider

Little Black Cat

I once was thought lucky, but now thats 'old hat'

I'm not in the fashion, I'm a little black cat

The visitors come and they pass with a smile

I'm young and I'm friendly, but I've been here a while.

"We wanted a tabby" I've heard them request

I know I'm not tabby but I'm doing my best !

I've tried rolling over and waving my paw,

But they just take a glance and pass by my door.

"Maybe a ginger? That one looks nice",

But a little black cat? Well no one looks twice

If you come to the Centre, just watch and see -

They'll choose all the others, but no one picks me.
