Meet Nibbles
Cannot be homed to the North Shields or Fenham
area

This is Nibbles, she is 8 months old, and is a housecat. She is now neutered, vaccinated and chipped, and is ready to find a new home.
Nibbles came from the North Shields area, so cannot be homed within the North Shields area.
She has never been outside, and we feel she would nervous of the outside world, so would prefer an indoor home for her.
She is used to children and to dogs so would make an ideal Pet for a young family.
NIBBLES IS NOW CONTENT IN HER NEW HOMEIntroducing Felix - A fabulous Cat !

This is Felix, and he is well known to Cats Protection Newcastle, as he almost lives in our Shop in Wallsend.
In fact this is the reason that his owners have agreed to allow us to put him up for re-homing.
When his owners moved from North Shields to Wallsend, Felix decided that the shop was a much nicer place to lounge around and be made a fuss of than his own, more than good, home.
It gave him an excuse to get away from the families other cats, as Felix really does not like feline companionship, although he doesnt mind dogs too much.
He is an easy going cat who knows his own mind. He doesnt want to be picked up, but wants a fuss when it suits him.
Its not fair on him for him to live in the shop, when no one is there in the evenings or Sundays, so with his owners agreement, we are seeking a home for him.
WE CANNOT HOME HIM TO THE WALLSEND OR MEADOWELL AREAS
NO
MORE APPLICATIONS PLEASE.

This is Davey, he is a 4 year old male, now neutered, who we hope is the last cat we will have to take out of a Multi Cat household.
He is a lovely natured boy, who, like the others from the household, has not had a great deal of human interaction, yet still accepts humans as being dominant.
Davey did find a new home with an gentleman, living on his own. Unfortunately he reacted badly, by being territorial and hiding under the bed, when the occassional guest arrived over the Christmas period, so Davey has had to come back into care.
We stress this was not Davey's fault, and we take the blame as we were not aware of the severity of the problem.
Davey, is now available once again.
It is sad that he has been messed
around like this, as he is a lovely boy, who has so much love to give
to the right person. But we feel that if a new owner keeps Davey
confined to one or two rooms to begin with, then Davey may adjust
easier. Being given too much freedom too soon, can be very frightening
to a cat, as danger can lurk around every corner.
It has to be remembered that Davey lived as an indoor cat, along with 16 others, and had very little interaction from his owner, and all this was in a small flat. So too much space is a frightening thing to Davey.
When
he initially came back, we were under the impression from the new owner
that it was a problem caused by the Gentleman's Disability, this has
now been explained, and it is not the case at all.
DAVEY
IS NOW GOING TO A NEW HOME, THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SHOWED INTEREST IN HIM.
Apologies to the Gentleman for misunderstanding the phone call you made to me - Chris .

Another pair of black cats from the multi cat household we are taking cats from. This pair, both boys, are only a year old and like Bonnie and Beattie, have not had the attention or care they should have had.
They will be neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
These cats, like all those from this house, will be shy at first, but once Val, our Homing Officer has a bit of time to work on them, will no doubt turn out like the others, and be very affectionate indeed.
They need fairly quiet homes, children should not be a problem, providing they are not too young to understand the needs of the cats.
THESE
TWO CATS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.

She is a little nervous of people she doesnt know, but gets used to you quite quickly. We dont know if she is tolerant of other cats or young children.

May We Introduce Ella

This is Ella, a young tortie female, found living on the streets of Wallsend. She has now been neutered, tested against Feline Aids and Leukemia as well as being vaccinated and microchipped. She was a very nervous little cat, but is now coming right out of her shell, and proving herself to be a friendly happy little cat once she gets to know you.
We think she may be a victim of the current economic climate, and left to live on the streets when her owners were evicted from their home.
Ella has now found a new home.

ne of two cats who came into our care when their owner died. They just dont get on with each other most of the time, so its been decided to rehome them individually.
Perky is semi long haired and neutered, and will be fully vaccinated and chipped by Cats Protection.
He
is 5 years old, and is a healthy happy cat, very affectionate towards
people. He may be best suited to a home without other cats, as he
certainly doesnt get on with Pinky and vice versa.
Perky did get adopted from us, but sadly one member of the family was highly allergic to him, so poor Perky is coming back into care.
Perky is now in his new home

MEET PINKY
Pinky & Perky came in together when their owner died, and a relative couldnt cope. The two cats frequently seemed to come to blows, so we have decided that they would be best homed individually.
Pinky is now happy in her new home.

This is Mikey. He is yet another cat we have taken in from the Multi Cat household in Arthurs Hill, Newcastle, making him number 17.
He is a slightly timid boy, who loves the comfort of his 'security blanket' and to him, that very much is what his blanket is.
He hides under it, and then when you speak to him, his head pops out and he yowles at you. Not in a nasty way, but to say, I want to come to you, but I am scared.
He is only 18 months old, and simply has not known any affection, or had any one to one with anyone.
MIKEY HAS NOW FOUND A NEW HOME.

Suki & Sid

These two young cats, aged just 6 months and 10 months of age, came to us when their owner could not keep them due to a severe allergy. They are indoor cats and are neutered.
These cats will be vaccinated and micro-chipped when adopted.
Sid is the more outgoing of the two cats, Suki is slightly more reserved to begin with, but once she knows you, is very loving indeed.
These cats are now in a new home

Tammy,
a young Tortie and White Queen, has been in our care for several months
now. And we think the reason is because she has a behavioural problem.

This
is Jasper. He is two years old, and has been used to the indoor life.
However, Jasper is a tail twitcher. Now usually a tail twitcher is a
spayer too, and this is why Jasper came into our care........
Oh dont be alarmed, we have watched him closely for the last 5 days, and although he twitches, he has not sprayed once, and lets face it, a pen surrounded by pens with other cats in, is going to be the ultimate place to test whether or not a cat will spray..
Jasper is indeed a lovely boy, friendly and very content.

These two queens are only a year old and have come to us from a multi cat household, where they have not received the attention and love they deserve. In fact the owner thought they were male !
We have had 11 cats from that household up to now, and all have turned out to be nice natured cats.
These two lovely cats have now found a new home

This pretty little semi long haired female, now neutered is waiting for a nice quiet home, where she can have all the love she deserves.
She came to us from the Seaton Delaval area, where she lived in a multi cat household, and just had litter after litter of kittens.
Maisy has been Health Checked, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Maisy has now found a loving new home...

This is Boo, he is a 2 year old Grey boy. He came from a multi cat household from the Arthurs Hill area of Newcastle, from which we have already taken quite a few cats.Unfortunately for Boo, since we did this, other cats in the household have been giving Boo a very hard time. So now he is with us, and will be looking for a new home. Boo will be fully vaccinated, neutered and chipped.
He may be better suited to a quiet household without other cats.
Boo, now called Blue, is happy in his new home now...|

Chico is a stunning 4 year old male, semi long haired Ginger boy, whose owner has had to go into sheltered accommodation.
Chico has been used to going outside, so will need to be housed away from a busy main road.
His owner unfortunately did not get Chico neutered, so that has now to be done, and already he is getting used to using a litter tray.
He will of course be vaccinated, and micro-chipped before going to a new home.
Chico is still nervous after the upheaval, but even so, he is still happy to roll over for Val, our Homing Officer so she will tickle his tummy. He is going to make someone a lovely pet.
You can see Chico, looking very scared on our Video page, taken the day after he arrived, so still very sheepish.
Now happy is in new home..|

Angel came into care, when her owner, a lady, could no longer keep her due to personal reasons. So Angel finally found a home with an elderly gent, who had little experience of cats, but who we hoped due to his elderly years, would not have a problem.
But unfortunately he did. He didnt understand that Angel, aged around 5 years, still wanted to be able to play. And seeing Angel running around enjoying a mad half hour, scared him, so back she came.
This cat with the most beautiful emerald green eyes, is now back and seeking that forever home she so deserves.
Angel, like all our cats, is neutered, fully vaccinated, Health Checked, and chipped.
A Happy ending to Angels story, she is now in what we hope is her forever home..
Sarah came from a household in the West End of Newcastle, which was just full of cats. Several of which have been in our care over the last month.
Sarah had given birth to kittens, but was so bullied by the other cats she allowed them to take her kittens from her.
She was soon spotted and given a new home
