A grey tabby was brought into our shop a couple of days ago, and found to be chipped. However, the mobile number registered has not had a response.

Hi Chris,
I know its a long shot, but can a cat be chipped twice?, our grey tabby cat ( chipped, neutred registered with our vets) went missing/ vanished in June last year from Whitley Bay, Despite endless searching and adverts regionally and locally, Gus was never found. We adopted GUS from CPL, in sept 2007, his photo is on my SURFQUEEN profile for CPL website.
I appreciate its a very long shot but I have checked the CPL website regularly since June and felt I had to check just incase he had been miracuously been returned or re: chipped, and was no longer registerd to us, Daft I know but I can always hope.
Many Thanks
Angela
