If you cat is old, over 10 years, then it is of course harder to find a home for, so please consider asking friends and relatives if they can take the cat.
All owned cats MUST be neutered to use this service.
Cats Protection Newcastle cannot assist with the re-homing of Pedigree Cats, please consult the breeder you obtained the cat from or a breed rescue.
Provide a Mobile Phone Number or Landline, email address. Be aware that email addresses posted onlne can attract spam.
PLEASE BE AWARE.. This is a service offered by CP Newcastle, but does not mean the cat is a CP cat, there are no CP requirements or confirmations of vaccination, chipping etc.
The Branch will also use this list and take in those we can, as and when we have space to do so. We cannot of course guarantee you a CP space when you post details here.
Stray cats - If you are reporting strays, we will need to know, how long they have been around, their condition, sex if possible, neutering status, and whether or not you can handle them. You MUST advertise a stray for 14 days locally by law prior to advertising here.

Black and grey striped female cat. neutered unknown , very friendly and looks to be healthy. kept indoors, will eat any brand of food currently on asdas own tiger.
This beautiful cat has been lost for some time and altough we have tryed to find someone who may have lost her we have had to take her in for 2 weeks as she seemed young. Unfortunatly my partner has become very sick with allergic reaction where the doctor has said his attacks of breathlessness could cause him to stop breathing or in a and e. So it is very urgent we find her a home as we simply cannot keep her(altough we would so love to as she is great with the kids).
if anyone has lost her however it would be fabulous to reunite her with her owner!

Our much loved cat, called Pepsi, 1.5 years old, has been missing since 31st of August. She is moggy breed; with distinguish Siamese forms, but dark tortoiseshell colour (like pepsi-cola, black-brown-red-white splashes on whole body). She is slim and elegant. Ears look bigger then on usual cat. She weared red anti-flea rubber collar and little bell on it. Pepsi usually go out and in house frequently during the day, likes to hunt, but likes to sleep in her bed at home. Never been missing for so long…. She has been micro-chipped and neutered. She is very curious and likes to jump inside the open car and open garage. Please, if you seen/find her, call us 01912716579
This has been posted in the wrong place, so I have copied the details and posted them in the lost cats section.
Because this cat was chipped, you need to contact the Envirocall section of the Newcastle City Council. If, and lets hope this has not happened, your cat was knocked down, she would be taken to Byker Depot, where they hold the bodies for an owner to collect.
They do have a scanner, so ask them if they have had a cat of Pepsi's description and ask them to scan the body if they have.
Good Luck

A Long haired black and white female cat has been living in a garden in Fenham for around 3 - 4 weeks, as of this date.
The finder has advertised locally.
The cat is obviously used to dogs as it gets on well with the finders dog.
This cat is going to Westways to check neutering status, and will be neutered should it not be spayed already.
It will then come into our care, as and when we have space, unless an owner turns up for it.
If this is your cat, contact Yvonne on ( rehomed )

He is like a silver tabby in every respect, except for his fur.
This adult, neutered, black and white tom has been straying for some time and slept in my yard for over a month. He has no microchip and no one has responded to his many found adverts.
He is house trained and affectionate. He is quite nervous but generally fine around my own cat - they tend to avoid each other, but have never fought. He allows children to pet him gently. He is a very good natured cat, who really enjoys home comforts, and has hardly left the house since we first let him sleep over. He very quickly learned to answer to 'Mick'. He likes a lap, he is quite lazy, but really enjoys play in short bursts and is quite an amusing charcter with a lovely chirruping conversation style.
My own cat, who has always been an only pet, is spending so much time away from the house that, very sadly, I think Mick has not yet found his real home.
He is a lovely cat and deserves a permanent spot on someone's sofa.

A young female, not chipped, White with tortie markings (ginger & Black) over her back has been found in the Howdon area.
This cat is possibly pregnant, but has been living in a back yard in Howdon for the last 9 days, never leaving to go anywhere.
As the cat is being advertised, here and in the local area, she cannot be rehomed till the the end of August.
We will be taking her into our care as and when a space is available.
See lost and found if you think this is your cat.
We have tried to contact this lady to bring the cat into care, including leaving messages on her answering service, but no response, so we have to assume the cat has found a home.

You must be a member to post, if you are not please register via the link on the left hand side bar.
Simply Click the Link at the top of the page which says Post New Entry, and the rest is easy.
Give as many details of the cat as possible, and post a photograph if you can.
To add a photo, its easier to have a Photobucket free account. To get one, simply click this LINK
Once you have the account and uploaded the picture, click the square link, third from the right on the menu bar above and it will give you the option of using a photo in Photobucket by asking for the link. The link is situated just under your photograph in Photobucket, and headed DIRECT LINK.
I will be checking this page daily, so if your post does not appear immediately, dont worry, it will as soon as I have authorised it.
Good Luck in finding a new home for your cat.
DO NOT POST DETAILS OF YOUR CAT ON THE END OF THIS POST, START A NEW ONE.
Remember, the Title grabs attention, so, something like this would be good.
Tabby Female, S/H, 18 months, indoor cat,( use the abbreviation for Short Hair ( S/H ) or Long Hair ( L/H ) to save space.
And remember to place the area you live in.. not your address.
the more information you give about your cat the more likely you are to have enquiries, so tell us about their character, whether or not they go out, its age, health, whether or not its used to dogs or small children, and whether it likes other cats.
All the above are important, so give as much history and details as you can.
REMEMBER
Your cat must be neutered to use this service, we do NOT rehome un-neutered cats, unless it is under 5 months of age, if this is the case, you must state its exact age.
Cats over 10 years old, are not likely to find a new home. Everyone thinks that a little old lady somewhere would love their older cat, but little old ladies tend to want younger cats these days, so homes for older cats dont come along too often.
Im not saying dont try... please do, I just want you to be realistic about it.
NOTE:- We cannot assist with the re-homing of Pedigree Cats, please contact the breeder, or a breed specific rescue.
